Land exchange files, 1936-1955.

RG 94-420. Files that contain legal description of land, maps, appraisal reports and land exchange agreements. These files document the State's efforts to consolidate the holdings in state forests, parks, game areas, and public water access sites. Lands were not purchased from private companies or individuals, but exchanged for land of equal value from other state holdings. Predominant dates of material: 1950-1954.
